LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The municipal government recently lined up various events to celebrate the Tourism Week in the municipality that is scheduled on September 21-28, 2024.
Councilor Belmer Elis, chairperson of the municipal council committee on tourism, said that this year’s theme is Tourism and Peace to be aligned with the general theme of the celebration in the national level.
The activities of the town’s Tourism Week will fire off on September 21 with a Jobs Fair at the municipal gymnasium that will be participated in by numerous local and overseas employment companies to provide jobseekers with the opportunity to land a gainful employment.
The opening program of this year’s Tourism Week celebration will be conducted at the municipal park on September 23 which will be followed by the ribbon cutting of the tourism booths and the inauguration of the town’s tourism building.
On September 24, the lucky visitors will visit the various tourism sites through the tourism circuit promotions that will be undertaken by the tour operators which will be followed by the recognition of the said visitors.
The municipal government, in partnership with the tourism operators, will be holding a tour guiding forum on September 25 which will coincide with the arrival and press conference of the candidates of the Search for Mr. Grand Philippines Cordillera. The traditional welcome dinner and sashing ceremony will also be held at the Hotel Supreme.
The much awaited Mr. Grand Philippines Cordillera pre-pageant will be held at the municipal gymnasium on September 26 which will be followed by the Dance for Peace and tourism awards and the Fashion Show of the Mr. Grand Philippines Cordillera candidates that will be held at the SM City Baguio on September 27.
On September 28, the Coronation Night of the Mr. Grand Philippines Cordillera will be held at the Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) gymnasium.
Moreover, The Trinidad Highland Wedding Fair will be held at the municipal gymnasium where residents and visitors will have a chance to witness the various offers that will be made by the wedding organizers from the municipality and for them to consider the municipality as their wedding venue in the future.
Local musicians will also have a chance to showcase their singing talent during the Concert At the Park on September 28 which will be held at the municipal park where residents and tourists will be entertained with their famous folk and country songs.
Earlier, the municipal government institutionalized the annual celebration of the Tourism Week in the municipality to aggressively promote and showcase the town’s pristine beauty and to provide visitors with new destinations that should be visited for them to be able to relax and enjoy their well-deserved break.
