A TRINIDAD, Benguet – The town’s No. 8 top most wanted person facing charges of violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on a warrant at Km. 4, here, Wednesday.
Benguet police officials identified the arrested wanted person as Cleto Bartolome Barruga, 53, single, driver, native of Ilocos Sur, and a resident of Km. 4, Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Rufus G. Malecdan, Jr. of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 9 for violation of the provisions of RA 9262 with a recommended bail of P120,000 for his temporary liberty.
The arrested wanted individual was brought to the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposal of the case filed against him.
