SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – Ayat Fest, the most anticipated festival in the Province of La Union, has returned to celebrate La Union’s 173rd Founding Anniversary after a two-year hiatus from the pandemic.
The Provincial Government of La Union ensured that from February 25 to May 28, 2023, residents of the province would be treated to new and exciting events to experience the grand return.
With the theme “LU La Unay”, the celebration and activities aim to call for environmental protection, innovation, diversity and development.
The Car and Drift Show, Hot Air Balloon, and Mutia ti La Union 2023 are some of the festival’s highlights and most eagerly anticipated events. These activities occurred on March 2, 2023, at Poro Point Baywalk in San Fernando, La Union.
During the Car and Drift Show, a well-known family of drifters displayed several drifting exhibitions and stances, while some witnessed the display of the Hot Air Balloon on the other side. La Union has had their wholesome experience as they were given the opportunity to ride the hot air balloon and drifting car.
Moreover, La Union has witnessed the crowning of Ms. Sudipen, Kristine Billy Mateo Tabaday, who hailed as the Mutia ti La Union 2023 during the Grand Coronation Night.
The pageant was attended by twenty stunning candidates who showcased their eco-warrior looks and environmental advocacy.
This is a back-to-back win for the candidates of Sudipen, who also hailed as the Mutia ti La Union back in 2019 and 2020.
A concert by Ely Buendia was capped off the same day.
The Provincial Government of La Union, led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, ensures that the first face-to-face celebration of the foundation day will give a blast of experience and joy to the people of La Union.
