SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – La Union Governor Francisco Emmanuel Pacoy” Ortega III launched during his 100th day in office yesterday the massive delivery of various basic services in the province’s 576 barangays.
The activity, dubbed as “I love La Union, I love my Barangay,” was first held at Pacoy’s own barangay of Canaoay this city with the simultaneous conduct of medical and dental services, supplemental feeding, livelihood training, cooking seminar, distribution of vegetables seeds, anti-rabies vaccination, free legal consultation, and among others.
“This is my 100 days of administration and I have done a lot of assignments that gives my services to the people in every barangay. This is my mission in the provincial government,” Pacoy said.
Pacoy, who succeeded his father former Gov. Manuel Ortega, said they started the activity in his own barangay and will be implemented next in other villages that needs immediate services from the provincial government.
“I love La Union, I love my barangay, because I believe that charity begins at home. We will bring all these services to all the barangays in our province with the help of our partners and government agencies concerned,” Pacoy said.
Pacoy’s younger brother Manuel Jr. is the barangay captain of Canaoay and the president of the Association of Barangay Captains in La Union.
Pacoy’s wife, Abono partylist Representative Vini Nola Ortega, also supported the activity which benefited some 3,000 residents in the barangay.
