BAGUIO CITY – A 27-year old laborer was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on separate warrants for rape and violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law in his temporary residence at Middle Atok Trail, here, Saturday.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the arrested rape suspect as Jay Dacanay Bedania, 27, single, laborer and a tenant at Middle Atok Trail, Baguio City.
He was arrested by virtue of two warrants of arrest issued by Judge Ethel Wolda A. Jaravata of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 32 in Agoo, La Union for rape and violation of RA 7610. The court recommended him to post a bail of P200,000 for his temporary liberty in his case for violation of RA 7610 while no bail was recommended for his temporary liberty on his rape case.
The arrested individual was brought to the BCPO headquarters for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposal of the cases filed against him.
