BAGUIO CITY – A 49-year old laborer was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence after he was charged for alleged violation of the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women had Children Act along Marcos highway, Thursday afternoon.
Police authorities identified the arrested individual as Johnny Gallema Hernandez, male, 49, married, laborer and presently residing at No. 68 Purok 18, Irisan, Baguio City.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Modesto D. Bahul, Jr. of the city’s Family court Branch 2 for violation of Section 5(1) of RA 9262 under Criminal case No. 46705 – R with a recommended bail of P40,000 for his temporary liberty.
The accused is now under the custody of the BCPO for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposal of the case filed against him. By Dexter A. See
