TABUK CITY, Kalinga July 21 – A 27-year old labourer was injured after he was hacked by a minor labourer inside their residence at New Tanglag, here, Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Brent Majaco, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the injured individual as Dexter John Ducusen Tangonan, 27, married, farm laborer and a resident of New Tanglag, Tabuk City, Kalinga while he named the suspect as Reymar Espirito Bautista, 17, single, OSY, farm laborer and a resident of Purok 1, Gob-gob, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect’s uncle had a drinking session inside their residence and when they were about to sleep, the victim then had an alleged misunderstanding with another uncle of the suspect that resulted to a commotion.
At this juncture, the suspect then grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim once in his abdomen because of an alleged grudge wherein the victim and the suspect had an earlier altercation because of alleged absences.
The victim was rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation after fleeing the crime scene.
