BAGUIO CITY – A 47-year old laborer died after he was stabbed on the different parts of his body by a security guard during a drinking session at Purok 12, Irisan, here, shortly before New Year.
Senior Superintendent Ramil L. Saculles, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the fatality as Buenvenido Dimasuway, 47, construction worker while the suspect was named as a certain Polo Martin, of legal age, security guard and both residents of Purok 12, Irisan, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and the suspect, together with some companions, were allegedly having a drinking session while awaiting the coming of the New Year when a heated altercation between the duo suddenly erupted that eventually escalated prompting the latter to get a knife and repeatedly stabbed the former on the different parts of his body before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was rushed by his relatives and friends to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to multiple fatal stab wounds on the different parts of his body while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation for him to face possible murder charges that will be filed against him.
