LUNA, Apayao – The Luna Central School (LCS) radio broadcasting English team will represent the Cordillera Region in the forthcoming National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) after besting other 6 teams propelling them as this year’s RSPC Radio and Script Writing champion.
The team bagged Best Anchor- Catherine Regunay, Best in Infomercial, Best in Script, and Best in Technical Application. This team comprises Adrian Pagdilao, Catherine Regunay, Benedict Figuerres, Hadrel Cascasyan, Tharah Enriquez, Charice Javier, and Charice Duldulao.
LCS School Principal Sherry Ann Baria who was in attendance during the awarding ceremony held at PFVR Gymnasium expressed delight over the achievements of the LCSians in this competition.
“This is another historic achievement for LCS. I am the proudest principal of these young journalists who have conquered the regional arena. We hope that this victory will be again achieved nationally,” Baria said after the awarding ceremony.
Meanwhile, in radio broadcasting secondary English, the team of Flora National High School secured the 2nd spot. This team bagged Best Script and Best Reporter which was clinched by Ashley Labuguen.
For the elementary Filipino, Flora Central School once again made a podium finish after ranking third in overall radio production.
On the other hand, Apayao National Industrial Agricultural High School’s Filipino team settled in 6th place. Kyla Bitagon was named Best Reporter.
Moreover, the team of LCS being the champion will be flying to Cebu for the National Schools Press Conference. By Krizza Joy Castillo & Ronald Badiang
