BAUKO, Mountain Province – The Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital (LHMRH) celebrated another significant milestone in health service as it marked its 67th founding anniversary on June 28, 2024.
The celebration came with a theme, “Sustaining Vision and Commitment through Responsive Quality Health Care Service: Bagong Pilipinas, Bagong Luis Hora, Bawa’t Buhay ay Mahalaga.” According to LHMRH Medical Center Chief I Eduardo B. Calpito, this theme speaks volume on the hospital’s journey and direction.
A parade that was participated in by officials and personnel of LHMRH and a thanksgiving mass officiated by Reverend Father Noe Villalobos-Kimao Mendoza jump started the celebration. It was immediately followed by the blessing of the LHMRH’s two new ambulances and new hospital facilities which include the Public Health and Primary Care Center, the dialysis extension, the acute psychiatric building, and a food court.
Subsequently, a culminating program was held at the LHMRH auditorium in the afternoon where it was attended by officials from the provincial government, Office of the Congressman, municipal and barangay local governments of Bauko, Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, and other representative from the SABATA-BATU and other stakeholders.
During the program, Executive Assistant Ernesto B. Bondad representing Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., pointed out in his inspirational message that the founding anniversary that was being celebrated marks a significant day for all LHMRH family to reflect on the hospital’s humble beginnings, chart for what to do and what to achieve in the years ahead, and at the same time, give honor and pay tribute to all the founders of the LHMRH.
On top of these, Bondad gave his encouragement to the LHMRH family to be a reservoir of hope, love, and life to everyone in need of medical attention and continue giving the same quality service that the LHMRH had given him ten years ago when he met an accident.
Meanwhile, Guest of Honor and Speaker, Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., relayed his congratulations to the LHMRH for reaching 67 years. Congressman Dalog said that he is excited to see the direction that the LHMRH is heading, particularly in terms of its growth, improvement, and development.
In addition, Dalog said that he is looking forward to witnessing the unwavering commitment and diligence of the LHMRH’s administrators, employees, and community members in working together in order to effectively provide the healthcare services not just to the people of Mountain Province, but to everyone who seeks medical attention in their hospital.
“At this foundation day celebration, let us continue to work together to improve, intensify, and expand the services of our beloved hospital. Let us continue to have confidence in each other by trusting in the ability of the health sector and resolve to keep not only ourselves, but every member of our family safe and healthy,” Dalog further said.
Also in attendance during the program were SABATA-BATU Chairperson and Bauko Mayor Randolf T. Awisan and Provincial Health Officer Annie Claire B. Pekas. By HENT
