LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The the championship games for the fifth season of Liga La Trinidad are playing today and tomorrow Saturday and Sunday, December 9-10, 2017 at the La Trinidad Municipal Gym, here.

The Saturday starts at 1:00PM when the Spartans and Puguis dispute the 12Under title followed by the Poblacion-Puguis clash for the 16Under crown.

Cruz and Pico will have their 35Up-interbarangay clash at 4:30 to be succeeded by the 6:00PM 40s clah of Isaac and the Isaiah 7:14 Bulldogs.

Upset mar the 35Up-interbarangay semis. 4th seed Cruz and 3rd seed Pico both overcame the twice to beat advantage of their higher seeded opponents to set-up the clash.

Cruz survived top seeded Poblacion, 100-98, last December 2 and completed the upset with a resounding 86-70 win in game two the following day.

On the other hand, Pico took game one of their semis against 2nd seed Balili, 101-92 last December 5 and took game two the following day, 97-90, to seal the deal.

Isaac and Emissaries cap the proceedings for the Bracket J diadem at 7:30.

The Sunday games start at 10:30AM when Water Philippines clashes with Sadiq for the Bracket I diadem. This will be followed by the Kabado and Traders collision at 1:00PM for the Bracket H crown.

Water Philippines swept the elimination round and, as a result, advanced straight to the finals. Sadiq eliminated RFSO-15 in the semis, 83-77, to earn the right to face them in the championship.

Kabado, Traders and Tropazz finished tied atop the standings after the eliminations. Kabado took the top seed while Traders ended second after application of the quotient system dropping Tropazz to third.

Kabado stopped Agro Tiger in the semis, 83-66, while Tropazz forfeited their semis match setting the championship game.

The Tropazz took the bronze by trouncing Agro Tiger, 87-66.

Meanwhile, the Isaiah 7:14 Bulldogs takes on Adrylle Khan at 3:00PM for the Bracket D championship followed by Bracket F championship match between Isaac and Pocna at 4:30.

The top-seeded Bulldogs got quite a scare, losing the first semis game, to fourth seeded Motocure 85-80, before ousting them in a close game, 109-108, to enter the finals.

Adrylle Khan buckled the twice to beat advantage of Isaac to reach the finals to oust them in two games, 110-102 in the first and by forfeiture in the second one.

Both Isaac and Motocure forfeited their bronze match up.

Isaac finished the eliminations unscathed and automatically barged into the finals. Second seed Pocna ousted sixth seed Wiseprint in the semis, 96-84.

Lastly, Isaac takes on the Bulldogs at 6:00 for the 35Up championship to complete the roster of games.

Top seeded Isaac eliminated Adrylle Khan, 100-97, and the Bulldogs knocked out the Kapangan Sons, 81-79, in the semis to set their face-off.

The Kapangan Sons outlasted Adrylle Khan 72-65 last night to take home the bronze.

Awarding will follow right after the games.
