TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) or Liga ng mga Barangay, led by its president, Atty. Henry Tubban Jr., held its first meeting of the year on Jan. 5, at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall.
During the meeting, Lacnog East Punong Barangay Felix Pan-oy, Liga Treasurer, reminded members on the payment of their annual membership dues which is to be remitted in the first quarter of the year.
The body talked about the equal share of barangays from the city government amounting to Php 300,000 each while Tubban informed the members that he has filed a measure to increase the amount to Php 600,000 which is now at the committee level at the Sanggunian.
The punong barangays also discussed measures to improve the implementation and close monitoring of projects in their respective jurisdiction.
Lastly, the ABC completed the specifics of their year-end review, which will also serve as their first quarter meeting when they will discuss, among other things, their 2023 Liga activities.
The meeting was also attended by City Planning and Development Officer Maricel Kiley and staff of the City Government Operations Office.
