BONTOC, Mountain Province – Otucan Sur Barangay Captain Alfonso A. Ligos, Jr. was again chosen to lead the Provincial Liga ng mga Barangay (PLNB).
Ligos will be holding on to his position as the chairperson of the committee on barangay affairs at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan after having the nod of the Municipal Liga ng mga Barangay Presidents (MLNBP) of Mountain Province when they convened to elect the PLNB at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Building on January 12, 2024.
The election was chaired by Rev. Fr. Marcial Lloyd C. Castañeda and attended by Bauko MLNB Alfonso A. Ligos, Jr., Sadanga MLNB, Primo G. Somilao, Sabangan MLNB Herbert B. Bantic, Bontoc MLNB Jones F. Managtag, Paracelis MLNB Thomas G. Simangon, Tadian MLNB Arthur D. Lomino, Barlig MLNB Ronald T. Challoy, Sagada MLNB Pio C. Wadingan, Besao MLNB Jeffrey W. Guinayen, Natonin MLNB Juan Henry A. For-og and Secretary to the Office of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Mountain Province April C. Palicos.
The PLNB was formerly known as the Provincial Association of Barangay Captains, whose purpose is for the 144 barangays of Mountain Province to have representatives or seats in the Provincial Sangguniang Panlalawigan Office.
“The MLNBs unanimously voted and re-elected Hon. Alfonso A. Ligos, Jr. of the Municipality of Bauko for his second term as PLNB,” Palicos said.
Ligos then expressed his gratitude for everyone’s support and expressed his joy to further be of service to the barangays of MP.
“To all barangay officials being represented by their respective municipal Liga presidents, I am deeply honored to have your trust and support once again.
