LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The 20th Team Lakay Championship: Benguet Explosion III ignited the Adivay Festival with an unforgettable night of mixed martial arts (MMA) action on November 29th. Held at the Benguet Sports Complex Gymnasium, the event showcased the skill and dedication of local fighters from the Cordillera region, leaving fans exhilarated and inspired.
The main event featured a thrilling featherweight clash between Argentinian fighter Nahuel “El Robles” Gandolfi and Aljon Parba of T-Rex MMA. Representing Team Lakay, Gandolfi delivered a commanding performance, earning a decisive victory via a triangle choke submission. This win not only highlighted Gandolfi’s prowess but also solidified his status as a rising star in the global MMA arena.
The undercard bouts were equally exciting. Gian Carlo outclassed Clifford Sadagan with a unanimous decision victory, while Justine Somera stunned the crowd with a knockout win over Januel Fritz Castillo. Dalemarrie Joy Mayos showcased her grappling skills, submitting Roxanne Cabildo via scarf hold americana. Brandon Albis earned a unanimous decision victory over Jony Earl Caolo, and Wilmer Salpad secured a submission win over Errol George Lapic with a guillotine choke.
