Cordillera Basic Sectors Transport Cooperative (CBSTC) meet with Chairman Martin B. Delgra III of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on May 27, 2019 and appealed to fast track the implementation of PUV Modernization Program in the Cordillera Administrative Region. During the meeting, Chairman Delgra asked the preparation of Drivers and he appreciated and elated when he learned that Cordillera Basic Sectors Transport Cooperative (CBSTC) is now done with the first batch of the driving lesson conducted by Team CBSTC.
Drivers of CBSTC are now salaried and are enjoying SSS Benefits, PhilHealth and Pag-Ibig. LTFRB Chairman Martin B. Delgra III, also commended CBSTC for adopting the Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS) which CBSTC and AF Payments Incorporation already signed a contract on March 25, 2019. Meanwhile DOTr-CAR OIC Regional Director Robert Allan Santiago asked LTFRB Chairman Delgra if he can open the 200 TAXI Franchise for La Trinidad/Baguio to any point in Cordillera, but Chairman Delgra directed DOTr-CAR OIC Regional Director Robert Allan P. Santiago not to open or accept any applications for the 200 TAXI Franchise for La Trinidad/Baguio to any point in Cordillera until the Cordillera Basic Sectors Transport Cooperative (CBSTC) will comply. “Gumastos na sila eh, give them time to comply” Chairman Delgra Added.
