LA TRINIDAD, Benget – Traffic jams, honking and parking along the road that always results to violation of illegal parking is over in the opening of vehicle inspection site service along Beckel, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Land Transportation Office Baguio leased a private lot in Beckel to cater inspection service for public utility and private vehicle. It is 4.2 kilometers away from the registration center in Pacdal.
This will address the perennial complaint of offices along the area that their service vehicles and guests cannot pass through because of double parked vehicles. Drivers also complaint that their plate numbers are being collected by Police Station 3 if they park along Leonard Wood road and charge with obstruction/illegal parking with a fine of Php500.00.
This is also in response to the continuing drive of the national government to clear all roads to obstruction and fast movement of vehicles.
Drivers who undergo inspection at Beckel are no longer required to bring their vehicles in Pacdal because transaction is purely paper registration and payment.
Strict implementation of no parking in the registration area, violators will issued RTAS ticket that carries a heftier fine than the citation ticket of Baguio City Police Office.
