TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Police Lieutenant Colonel (PLTCOL) Benson B. Macli-ing was introduced as the new Chief of Police for the Tabuk City Police Station during the flag-raising ceremony at the Tabuk People’s Gym on January 13.
Macli-ing, who hails from Bontoc, Mt. Province, previously served as the Acting Chief of Police in La Trinidad, Benguet, before assuming his new role in the city on January 11.
During the ceremony, he called on the public’s support for the Philippine National Police (PNP) and emphasized the importance of working together to maintain peace and order in the city.
Mayor Darwin Estrañero expressed his commitment to supporting the PNP, particularly in addressing issues on peace and order.
Meanwhile, PLTCOL Jolly N. Ngaya-an, the outgoing police chief, will assume a new position as Deputy Provincial Director for Operations at the Kalinga Provincial Police Office (KPPO).
This leadership transition signals both continuity in law enforcement and the introduction of new directives in the PNP’s security efforts. By Ian Addatu
