PILAR, Abra – A 33-year old man was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents after having found in his possession unlicensed firearms during the implementation of a search warrant in his residence at Brookside, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the arrested gun-wielder as Michael Dufale Sumalbag 33, single and resident at Brookside, Pilar, Abra.
Confiscated by the operating troops from his possession by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Rafael Alzate of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 1 in Bangued were one homemade shotgun GA12 without serial number; one cal. 25 pistol and bearing serial number D89909; one magazine for cal.25 pistol and one double barrel for cal. 22.
The arrested person and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Pilar Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to the filing of appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
