BAGUIO CITY – A 41-year old man, who was earlier arrested for charges of illegal possession of prohibited drugs, was found to be in possession of shabu when subjected to the usual search procedures prior to being committed to the Baguio City Jail recently.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office, identified the alleged drug courier as Leonardo Viray Levy, 41, married.
He was earlier arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Antonio Reyes of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 61 in Baguio City for violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law.
During the usual search procedures at the jail performed by JO! Primo C. Chiyao-yao, the suspect was found to be in possession of two heat searched sachets containing shabu weighing 0.06 grams having a market value of P1,000 and one brown aluminium container.
The arrested suspect was committed to the Baguio City Jail with additional charges to be filed against him.
