BAGUIO CITY – A 49-year old man died while his granddaughter was injured after they were bumped by a speeding motorcycle along Naguilian road, here recently.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Regidor Reggie Ogie Pre, 49 while his injured daughter was said to be around 7 years old, both residents of Purok 24, San Carlos Heights, Irisan, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and his granddaughter were crossing the main road when they were suddenly bumped by an alleged speeding motorcycle driven by a 38-year virtual assistant who is also a resident of the city.
The victim and his granddaughter sustained multiple head and body injuries as a result of the impact of the said incident and were immediately rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment of the injuries they sustained.
However, the older Pre expired while undergoing close medical attention while his daughter is now in stable condition and recuperating from the injuries they sustained.
Relatives of the victim are inclined to file the appropriate charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and serious physical injuries against the motorcycle rider and also demanded for assistance from him.
|The older Pre is said to be the breadwinner of the family while his strange wife had to come home from her work abroad because of what happened even as she was in the country around two weeks ago where she spent her vacation.
