PEÑARRUBIA, Abra – A 34-year old motorcycle driver died after he lost control of his vehicle causing his head to slam on the concrete pavement of the provincial road at Lusuac Penarrubia here Friday.
Senior Superintendent Antonio Bartolome, provincial director of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as Jofrey Baluden Bula-ay, 34, single and a resident of barangay Pikek, Daguioman, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was driving his motorcycle and was in full speed towards the capital town of Bangued when he lost control of the same while negotiating a sharp curve causing it to slide thereby throwing him off a with his head slamming on the concrete pavement.
He was rushed by concerned motorists to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to severe head injuries.
