TINOC, Ifugao – A 43year old man was hurt after he was allegedly repeatedly hacked by his drinking partner in front of a store in Gumhang here Friday night.
Senior Superintendent Constancio Chinayog, officer-in-charge of the Ifugao Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as Bisenio Chavez Raniko, 43 yrs. Old, married, a resident of Sitio Awa, Gumhang, Tinoc, Ifugao, while he named the suspect as Antonio Pablo, 40 yrs. Old, married, farmer, a resident of Huhlukan, Binablayan, Tinoc, Ifugao.
Initial police investigation showed the victim, together with the suspect and several other companions, were having a drinking spree in front of a store in their place when a heated argument suddenly erupted between them.
When the victim was about to urinate on the side of the road, the suspect suddenly hacked him several times with the use of a home-made bolo but the suspect was subsequently pacified by their companions.
The victim was immediately rushed to a rural health unit for medical treatment while the suspect immediately fled from the crime scene and is now the subject of a manhunt operation for him to face the charges to be filed against him.
