TUBA, Benguet – A 46-year old jobless man died after he allegedly hanged himself inside his residence at Degab, Taloy Sur here Wednesday morning.
Senior Inspector Jim Hilario, chief of the Tuba Municipal Police Station, declined to identify the victim upon the request of his relatives considering that sensitivity of the matter.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was last seen alive by his sister watching television inside his residence Tuesday evening.
However, his older brother was surprised to see his lifeless body hanging in the kitchen of his residence with a nylon cord tied around his neck while the other end was tied on the beam of their kitchen.
The victim was said to be suffering from chizophrenia (stress).
Responding elements of the Scene of the Crime operation (SOCO) team ruled out any foul play in the victim’s untimely demise, saying that he died due to asphyxia.
