BUCAY, Abra – A 50-year old man was injured after he was shot by a neighbour during an altercation regarding their disconnected water supply at barangay Tabiog, here, recently.
Superintendent Mark Pespes, officer-in-charge of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as Leo Alcalde Alcalde Sr, 50, married, unemployed while he named the suspect as Floro Alcalde Taeza, of legal age, single, unemployed and both residents of Barangay Tabiog, Bucay, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and a nephew of the suspect had a heated altercation because the victim accused the latter of having disconnected their water supply.
Upon arriving in the area, the suspect chanced upon the duo and immediately fired at the victim several times hitting him on his knee.
The victim was immediately rushed to the Seares Memorial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect was able to flee towards and undisclosed direction and now the subject of a manhunt operation.
