TABUK CITY, Kalinga September 08 – A 34-year old man was injured after he was shot once on his face by his drinking partner inside the residence of their neighbour at Agbannawag, here, Friday dawn.
Senior Superintendent Brent Majaco, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police office, identified the victim as Melchor Bucacao Bungaoen, 34, single while he named the suspect as Abby Bunggalo, of legal age and both resident of Agbannawag, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed the victim, the suspect and their companions were having a drinking session inside the residence of their neighbour when a heated altercation suddenly erupted between them until the suspect pulled out a handgun from his sling bag and fired at the victim once on his face before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was rushed by his relatives to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding police operatives.
