LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A 21-year old man was hurt after he was punched on the face by a 22-year old man during an altercation at Betag here recently.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as a Achilles Dayao Segundo, 21, single, a resident of Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet while he named the suspect as was Jaroden Chagas Mateo, 22, single, a resident of Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim had an altercation with the friends of the suspect when the latter suddenly punched him on his face thereby inflicting injuries.
The victim as brought to the Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) for medical treatment while the suspect was brought to the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station for documentation and awaiting the victim’s decision whether or not to file a case against him.
