KIANGAN, Ifugao – A man was arrested by combined police operatives in his residence during the service of his warrant at sitio Ala, Baguinge here around 6 am Sunday.
Superintendent Cherry Fajardo, public information officer of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera, identified the arrested rape suspect as Ben Baguiwa Bandao, a resident of Ala, Baguinge, Kiangan, Ifugao.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 14 in Lagawe, Ifugao for the crime of rape in relation to the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (RA) 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law with no bail recommended for his temporary liberty.
The suspect is now detained at the Kiyangan Municipal Police Station awaiting the court’s proper disposition of the case filed against him.
