LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A 22-year old man was apprehended by police operatives after having found in his possession assorted drug paraphernalia during a followup operation of a robbery case along Km. 6 here ardond 8:30 pm Wednesday.
Inspector Jocy Dayag, public information officer of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested drug suspect as Kingrey Sabalboro Desoma, 22 and a resident of Queen of Peace, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed police operatives were conducting a followup operation on a robbery incident when they chanced upon the suspect in the area.
Upon the conduct of the usual frisking of the suspect, he yielded five empty sachets which were believed to be containing shabu.
The suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were immediately brought to the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. Desoma is now detained at the La Trinidad Municipal Jail pending the decision of the provincial prosecutor’s office on the charges for violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law filed against him.by Dexter A.
