TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A 27-year old man died after he was repeatedly shot to death by two still unidentified assailants during a drinking session along Longdayan Street, here, Tuesday afternoon.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Sheaffer Babaran Sandoval, 29, married, a resident of Cabaruan, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his companion went to a store in the place of incident and joined a group of still unidentified farmers who were having a drinking session at the back of the establishment and after a while, two still unidentified assailants suddenly followed him and shot him several times hitting him on the different parts of his head and body while another gunman aimed his short firearm to his companion that caused him to scamper for safety.
The victim was immediately rushed by concerned residents to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but he was pronounced dead on arrival due to multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his head and body while the suspects are now the subject of manhunt by responding police operatives for him to answer for the crime they committed.
Probers recovered from the crime scene two spent shells of a still undisclosed firearm that was used by the suspects in the perpetration of the crime.
