BAGUIO CITY – The Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) Baguio City Chapter will mark the World Blood Donor Day with a mass blood donation campaign set June 14 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Melvin Jones grandstand.
Mayor Mauricio Domogan called on the public to support the PNRC Baguio’s blood drive to give life to the celebration theme, “Blood Connects Us All.”
PNRC Baguio chapter administrator Anastacia Tamayo said the activity “aims to promote voluntary blood donation as a cornerstone of safe and quality blood supply.”
“This would greatly augment the blood supply of the Blood Center as well as increase awareness among our locality’s constituents thus encouraging them to donate,” Tamayo said.
The local chapter’s battle cry for the campaign will be “Share life, give blood.”
