TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Personnel from McDonald’s Company (Golden Arches Development Corporation) paid a courtesy call to Mayor Darwin C. Estrańero on June 7, 2023.
The team presented the Mayor with the plans and designs for the building, emphasizing its contemporary and cutting-edge features that will offer a convenient and pleasurable experience for their clients. The building will be located next to the children’s hospital in the Kalinga Provincial Hospital compound.
The proposed McDonald’s restaurant will have a dual lane fast food drive-through, the first of its kind in Northern Luzon, as well as an electronic order board for customers who don’t want to wait in line to place their food orders.
The construction of the structure utilizing environmentally friendly materials and the use of solar energy for their operation are other significant features.
Mayor Estrańero expressed his appreciation for McDonald’s investment in Tabuk City, which will not only help the city’s economy flourish but also give ikalingas job opportunities. The Mayor likewise proposed the hiring of local workers for their construction projects.
It would be recalled that McDonald’s personnel contacted Governor James S. Edduba about a potential partnership, and following many discussions, the PLGU and McDonald’s management were able to reach an agreement.
