Dalawang linggo na ang nakaraan nang ipinatupad ang Enhanced Community Quarantine sa buong National Capital Region (NCR) at Luzon. Hanggang ngayon, patuloy pa rin ang panawagan sa ating mga kababayan na manatili sa kanilang mga tahanan upang pigilan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19.

Kaisa naman ng gobyerno ang Social Security System (SSS) sa pagpapatupad ng mandatong ito ng Enhanced Community Quarantine kaya naman naglunsad ito ng mga bagong schedule sa mga kasalukuyang programa nito para na rin sa kapakanan ng ating miyembro.



Una, mas pinalawig ang contribution payment deadline kung saan ang mga voluntary, self-employed at non-working spouse members ay maaari pang magbayad ng kanilang January, February, at March 2020 contributions hanggang June 1, 2020. Dati, ang kontribusyon para sa first quarter ay maaaring bayaran hanggang sa huling araw ng buwan ng Abril 2020. Para naman sa mga employers na magbabayad ng kontribusyon ng kanilang mga empleyado para sa buwan ng February, March at April 2020 ay maaari nila itong bayaran hanggang June 1, 2020. Wala namang pagbabago para sa mga OFW members kung saan ang deadline ng kanilang January to September 2020 contributions ay papatak pa rin sa huling araw ng Oktubre 2020, samantalang ang kanilang kontribusyon para sa buwan ng Oktubre hanggang Disyembre 2020 ay hanggang sa huling araw ng Enero ng susunod na taon.

Pangalawa, pinalawig din ang deadline sa pag-file ng Sickness Benefit claims kung saan pansamantalang hindi susundin ang 10-day notification period para sa mga Sickness Notifications ng mga miyembro ng SSS na nagkasakit sa pagitan ng March 1 hanggang April 30, 2020. Bibigyan sila ng pagkakataon na mag-file ng kanilang mga aplikasyon sa loob ng 60 days pagkatapos ng kanilang home o hospital confinement.

Binibigyan din ng 60 araw ang mga voluntary at self-employed members para i-file ang kanilang Sickness Benefit Applications sa SSS. Mula ito sa dating 5 calendar days matapos ang unang araw ng kanilang pagkakasakit at karagdagang 5 araw din para sa mga employer na i-notify ang SSS sa pagkakasakit ng kanilang mga empleyado. Samantala, para sa mga OFWs, sila ay binigyan ng karagdagang 30 days para magpasa ng kanilang mga sickness benefit claims.

Pangatlo, may moratorium din sa pagbabayad ng short-term member loans na kinabibilangan ng Salary Loan, Calamity Loan at Emergency Loan na ipinagkaloob ng SSS sa pagitan ng January 1, 2018 hanggang March 16, 2020. Kung kinakailangang bayaran sa mga buwan ng February hanggang April 2020 ang mga loans na nabanggit, binibigyan pa ang mga miyembro ng hanggang 3 buwang moratorium sa pagbabayad. Walang ipapataw na interes o anumang penalty dito. May ipinatutupad din na moratorium para sa pagbabayad ng balanse sa ilalim ng Loan Restructuring Program (LRP) at Educational Assistance Loan (EAP) para sa buwan ng February, March, at April 2020. Mahalaga lamang na updated sa pagbabayad ang miyembro ng balanse upang mag-qualify sa moratorium.



Pang-apat, pansamantalang suspendido ang Annual Confirmation of Pensioners Program (ACOP). Sakop nito ang mga survivor at total disability pensioners na naninirahan dito sa Pilipinas at lahat ng mga retirement pensioners na naninirahan din sa ibang bansa na may schedule ng ACOP simula noong January 2020 hanggang April 2020. Patuloy pa rin silang makatatanggap ng buwanang pensyon kahit hindi sila sumailalim dito. Sa mga Retiree Pensioners at Survivor Pensioners naman na naninirahan sa ibang bansa, pansamantala ring suspendido ang ACOP compliance ngayong March at April 2020. Samantala, sa mga susunod na buwan ay ibabalik na sa dating schedule ang pagsasagawa ng ACOP na batay sa contingency date o araw ng kapanganakan ng pensyonado.

Panglima, maging ang aplikasyon ng UMID Card ay pansamantalang suspendido na rin simula Marso 2020.

Pang-anim, maaari pa ring magpasa ng unemployment benefit application hanggang June 30, 2020 ang mga miyembro kung saan ang kanilang isang taong prescriptive period ay magtatapos sa pagitan ng March 5, 2020 hanggang April 30, 2020.

Kasalukuyang inaayos ang mga sistema ng Information Technology (IT) Team ng SSS upang gawing online ang application para sa calamity loan at unemployment benefit habang ang buong bansa ay nasa Enhanced Community Quarantine hanggang Abril 15, 2020.

Pinapayuhan namin ang lahat ng miyembro na i-follow, i-like at i-share ang opisyal na Facebook page ng SSS, ang Philippine Social Security System para sa iba pang karagdagang impormasyon at mga detalye ng mga programang may kaugnayan sa COVID-19.
