Baguio city – A 35-year old private miner was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents for violation of the Commission on Election (Comelec) gun ban inside a bar along Naguilian Road here Friday.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, acting city director of the Baguio City Police Office, identified the arrested individual as NELSON Masangray Ing-Inga, 35, married, private miner, and a resident of Lower Fairview, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that the bar owner reported to the police that he saw that the victim was in possession of a firearm while he was sleeping in a table where he drunk.
During the search, responding police operatives seized from him a calibre .45 pistol high capacity with a magazine loaded with eight live ammunitions.
The arrested individual and the seized evidence were brought to the BCPO headquarters for documentation and the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the city prosecutor’s office.
