BAGUIO CITY – A 14-year old minor died after he was allegedly beaten by a fellow 14-year old minor inside a billiard hall at Happy Homes Old Lucban here recently.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office, described the fatality to be 14 years old and a resident of Happy Homes Old Lucban, Baguio City while the suspect was described as a 14-year old minor, a resident of Riverside, Happy Homes Old Lucban and both students of the Alternative Learning Center of the Lucban Elementary School.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect, together with some friends, were reportedly playing billiards when a fistfight suddenly ensued between the two minors.
The victim allegedly collapsed on the ground and became unconscious that prompted his companions to rush him to the Pines City Doctor’s Hospital for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.
The suspect was arrested by responding police operatives and immediately turned over to the Social Development Center in Balenben, Irisan for counselling while the case is still subject to investigation.
