LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police operatives were able to recover the missing 10-wheeler truck that was earlier reported to have gone missing in the compound of the Buguias Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) in Bekes, here, Sunday night.
Chief Inspector Benson Macliing, chief of the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, said the missing truck which was recovered abandoned in Barangay Shilan and turned over to the DENR impounding area in Km. 21, Atok, Benguet to be used as evidence against the arrested driver and helper for having been loaded with dozens of sacks of unpermitted mine ore last June 29.
Buguias police personnel filed the appropriate case against the arrested driver and helper with the truck having to be impounded in an unguarded area that caused it to have gone missing last Sunday.
The recovered truck will now be placed under strict custody by the DENR personnel assigned in the area until such time that the court shall have appropriately disposed of the case filed against the arrested driver and helper.
The vehicle was loaded with dozens of sacks of mine ore supposed to be brought to the lowlands for processing.
