MANKAYAN, Benguet – Mankayan National High School (MNHS) organized webinar to equip its teaching and non-teaching staff on the varied learning modalities last July 7, 2020.
Administrative Officer Hanky Mae B. Aten-an oriented the participants on the daylong activity which was “to prepare MNHS workforce for the coming school year 2020-2021 which will commence on August 24,” she said.
Moreover, Daniel D. Peredo, MNHS principal, encouraged the teachers to engage in the realization of the Benguet Division Learning Continuity Plan (LCP), like in the development of print and non-print learning modules, to improve the delivery and instruction during this pandemic.
Further, Sarah S. Dino discussed the concept and practice of modular distance learning, while Rosie Mae S. Patongay and Myrick Y. Ao-asen, both teachers at MNHS, demonstrated how to maximize online distance learning applications in instruction such as Zoom, Messenger, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.
On the other hand, Alexander L. Bocanog and Jeffrey C. Japson, both head teachers, lectured on blended learning instruction with Bocanog giving updates on the learning modules crafted by teachers in the different learning areas.
Reminders on enrolment and virtual moving-up and graduation concluded the webinar. A series of telecommunication will take place to cater to the needs of MNHS teachers and learners in response to the new normal education.
