Money What? It’s Basic as ABC

Last Sunday, I attended a workshop that at first I was hesitant to attend. I haven’t heard about the trainer before. After a quick search about him, and upon receiving invitation from the organizers, I said YES. I didn’t know that I would benefit much from the workshop.

I don’t want to give out the contents shared in the workshop so what I am going to share to you today are some key things we need to be reminded of. And they are simple as ABC, namely – our actions, beliefs and choices.

We start with BELIEFS. We all have a belief system and this could be working on our advantage or disadvantage. If we think we are victims of circumstances, then we are prophesying to our disadvantage. What we believe, we become. It’s not that it happens automatically but the more we think that we are of a certain kind, we tend to act like that. I met a person who was affected by the supertyphoon Yolanda in Leyte. I admire how he emphasized that he is not a victim – he is a survivor. Yes, he survived! That makes him a victor. It’s not that he recovered instantly what he lost, but with such kind of belief system, I believe he will eventually recover. He will win. Before a win is manifested in the outside, it has to be manifested in the inside.

We move to CHOICES. We are all given the freedom to choose – to think in a certain way and to act in a certain way. Tony Robbins said, “It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.” In those moments of decision are choices that will determine what we become.

It has to be noted that a single choice is not enough. It has to be a series of choice, a continuous choice toward the goal that we want. Our choices are products of our beliefs and our choices lead us to our actions.

We end with ACTIONS. Our beliefs and choices are concretely seen in our actions. It is important that these three are aligned. It is not enough that we think we have the right beliefs and choices but because of some excuses, we do a conflicting set of actions. If we think we can and we choose to do so, then we should go and do it as we think, choose and say.

Everything we have at the moment and everything we will have in the future our compounded effects of our beliefs, choices and actions. Our accomplishments today did not just happen. They came about because of what we thought, chose, and did in the previous years, months and days. This works on the opposite, too. It is a natural law. And it depends on us if we are to work it to our advantage or disadvantage.

You and I have a lot to learn and improve in our beliefs, choices and actions. It is a daily decision. You and I are enjoined to further our learning. There are a lot of free resources online and offline. Take advantage of those. And if you want to level up, there are also paid resources online and offline. One of them is Raymond Lim’s Money Making Muscle Workshop. It is an intensive, experiential, transformative workshop. I highly recommend it to young professionals, sales people, SMEs, wanna-be-entrepreneurs and even college students. I encourage you to invest in your learning. Together, let us recalibrate our set of beliefs, choices and actions to our advantage. This way, we will be able to serve ourselves and others more. Mind you, it is not just about money. It is about living life to the better, one belief, choice and action at a time.

*Money Making Muscle Workshop will be on its 2nd run in Baguio City on August 20. Negotiated registration fee is at P3k. This is not for everybody but if you think you are ready to stretch that muscle in you, text 0999-718-0444 and reserve your seat now. This is NOT a get-rich-quick scheme, we don’t believe in that. This is about hard work and giving value to people. If you share that value, take action now and get your ticket.
