BAGUIO CITY—City Buildings and Architecture Office head Engineer Nazita Banez reminded the exhibitors of the NORTH BuildEx 2015 not to forget their moral obligation while doing their business in Baguio.
Gracing the launching of the 3rd Northern Building Expo at the Baguio Convention Center last Friday Banez proudly inform the exhibitors that the city is still a lucrative place to invest in business.
There were about 40 multimillion companies joined the 3-day building expo with the theme Building on a Global Scale” bridging the gap of the suppliers and the builders.
Bañez in her message refuted the allegations of some parties that Baguio is now deteriorating.
“We are implementing the rules and regulations with regard to building structures to maintain the skyline of the city” Bañez added.
She said that the city wants to preserve its environment and to maintain its status as one of the prime tourist destinations in the country.
Bañez added that it is not all about Business but we have to consider the most important aspect and that is our moral obligation to the environment and to the community.
NORTH Buildex 2015 organizer Architect May Rose C. Carreon-Mana of RAM Architectural Services said that the purpose of this event is to bring in the products and services of the foreign market particularly the environmentally sustainable products.
The exhibits showcased different products in constructions and seminars on construction safety management and accident prevention.
The North Buildex does not only focus on business aspect but also in humanitarian missions, they are now closely working with the Gawad Kalinga Benguet to aid in the relocation of families in sinking areas and to improve facilities in schools particularly the Municipality of Tublay in Benguet.
NORTH BUILDEX also pursues students to be exposed in the field of Engineering and Architecture.
