City officials recently congratulated and commended Lumina L. Peil, a native of the Cordillera, for vying for the award as one of the Most Influential Filipino Women in the world for 2023 conferred by the Global Filipino Women’s Network.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that such an award that was conferred to Peil once again and further proved that a Cordillera woman and the entire Filipino women could shine internationally in their respective fields of endeavor, a feat worthy of emulation by today’s young women.
The Global Filipina Women’s Network is the organization for the Most Influential Filipina Women Awardees who are leaders in the public and private sectors worldwide with a track record of accomplishments through their work in their professional fields, industry sectors, and local communities.
Peil proved her worth as a Baguio-based civic leader by spearheading numerous outreach missions to the local communities, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She was one of the awardees in the 2023 Most Influential Filipino Women in the world conferred by the Global Filipina Women’s Network during the awards rites at the Lobkowicz Palace, Prague, Czech Republic last November 2, 2023.
The 1st US FWN100 Awards were given at the 2007 Filipina Leadership Summit in Washington DC. The awards honored Filipino women who are changing the face of leadership in their local communities and in their adopted countries they now call their home. It recognized those who have reached status for outstanding work in their respective fields and who are recognized for their leadership and achievements in the global workplace and their local communities.
