City officials recently congratulated and commended Christi Joy Mae C. Basilan for being adjudged the Most Outstanding Soloist for the rendition of ‘Ili Ili’ arranged by Ily Mateo Maniano at the first-ever Taipei International Choral Competition held in Taipei, Taiwan last July 31 to August 2, 2024.
In a resolution authored by Councilor John Rhey Mananeng, local legislators stated that Basilan serves as an inspiration for aspiring singers and individuals striving for excellence in their respective endeavors.
Basilan displayed exceptional dedication, perseverance and prowess in the realms of singing.
Her commitment to excellence and tireless training have culminated in a momentous victory when she earned the Most Outstanding Soloist at the first-ever Taipei International Choral Competition held in Taipei, Taiwan last July 31- to August 2024.
The council stipulated that her achievement not only showcased her personal excellence but also brought pride and honor to the city, the Cordillera and the country as a whole.
