BONTOC, Mountain Province – One hundred thirty-one personnel of the provincial government participated in the clean-up drive which started in front of Mountain Province General Comprehensive High School and ended at the Bontoc-Samoki Jumbo bridge going to the diversion road leading to sitio Lanao, Bontoc Ili in the morning of October 17, 2024.
The activity was spearheaded by the Office of the Provincial Human Resources Officer (OPHRMO) as part of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Commission Month Celebration.
According to the OPHRMO, the activity is a form of environmental volunteering where the provincial government employees get together to clean an identified area of the municipality to sweep or pickup and properly dispose of litter with the quote “cleaning is an investment in one’s well-being” for emulation.
The gathered and segregated trash were placed in plastic bags then loaded in the truck by personnel from the Office of the General Services Officer and dumped in the Engineered Sanitary Landfill, sitio Am-ancho, Bontoc Ili with the aid of personnel from other offices. By Hail, MP
