BONTOC, Mountain Province – A new facility for the Mountain Province First Police Mobile Force Company (PMFC) is set to be constructed in Poblacion, Bauko, following its groundbreaking ceremony on April 11, 2025.
The upcoming building/headquarters was funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2025 in the amount of 45 million pesos. According to Police Colonel (PCol.) Ferdinand N. Oydoc, the Provincial Director of Mountain Province Police Provincial Office, the headquarters will significantly enhance the operational readiness and mobility of the police, enabling them to respond more swiftly and effectively to emerging security concerns.
“More importantly, the headquarters will serve as a vital community asset, reinforcing our commitment to be a steadfast partner to the people of Bauko. This facility will be a symbol of our dedication to their safety, a place of collaboration, and a resource for the entire community,” he continued.
The groundbreaking ceremony started with an invocation led by Father Vincent Mynem C. Sagadoy from the Parish Rector of our Lady of Lourdes Church. This was followed by the opening remarks of Police Lieutenant Colonel Daniel P. Fakat, the Force Commander of the Mountain Province First PMFC and the blessing of the groundbreaking paraphernalia by Fr. Sagadoy.
Subsequently, Oydoc, Fakat, Executive Assistant to Governor Rolando B. Bragado, representing Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., and Mayor Randolf T. Awisan, led the lowering of the time capsule, which contains the plans, design, and newspaper of the building.
In their respective messages, both Bragado and Awisan were together in joining Oydoc in acknowledging the contribution of the building in enhancing police service to the community.
Moreover, Bragado relayed the provincial government’s continuous support to the police force through the Barangay Muna Program of Governor Lacwasan, making sure that the services of the First Mountain Province PMFC will not only cater for the needs of the western municipalities of Mountain Province but all the 144 barangays of the province.
Meanwhile, on behalf of Police Brigadier General David K. Peredo, Jr., the Regional Director of the Police Regional Office-CAR, Oydoc extended his gratitude to all the stakeholders who contributed to the realization of the building.

To the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, thank you for the approval of the survey and the issuance of the patent, ensuring the sustainability and legality of this project.
And to all the stakeholders who have contributed to making this day possible, your dedication is truly appreciated,” Oydoc relayed.
The groundbreaking ceremony culminated with the turnover of the Certificate of Lot Title to Oydoc by Atty. Loveli Anne B. Publico, the Acting Register of Deeds from the Registry of Deeds – Mountain Province. By MP-PIO
