TABUK CITY, Kalinga – the No. 3 top most wanted person of Mountain Province facing child abuses charges was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on a warrant in his residence at Cuda, here, Saturday.
Senior Superintendent Brent Majaco, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested wanted individual as Junior Opal, 37, single, farmer in his residence at Cudal, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Sergio T. Angnganay of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 36 in Bontoc, Mountain Province for violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law with a recommended bail of P100,000 for his temporary liberty.
The arrested wanted person was brought to the Tabuk City Police office for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposal of the case filed against him.
