BAUKO, Mountain Province – Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. led the turnover of financial assistance to the family of two deceased officials in Otucan Norte in Bauko and to two recipients of medical assistance from the barangay, held on March 5, 2025.
The Governor was accompanied by Board Member Henry D. Bastian, Jr. and Provincial Liga ng mga Barangay Chair Alfonso A. Logos, Jr., in personally handing over the provincial government assistance and at the same time, extend their sympathies to the families of the deceased barangay officials.
Martina C. Gao-ay, wife of deceased Barangay Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative Hilario Gaw-ay and Felomina D. Cominga, wife of deceased Barangay Kagawad Ricardo Cominga, received the amount of PhP20,000 each.
According to Governor Lacwasan, the mortuary benefit being received by families of deceased incumbent barangay officials is an institutionalized program of the provincial government through Provincial Ordinance No. 376.
On the same day, the provincial officials also handed over medical assistance in the amount of PhP5,000 to Pastora P. Gomgom-o and PhP4,000 to Martina Gao-ay. By MP-PIO
