BONTOC, Mountain Province – The provincial government, through its Office of the Provincial Agricultural and Biosystems Engineer (OPABE), spearheaded the Localized Farm-to-Market Road Network Plan (FMRNP) Workshop at the Capitol Conference Hall in the capital town on December 5, 2024.
The activity was attended by representatives from the municipal agriculture offices, municipal planning and development offices, municipal engineering offices, OPABE, Provincial Planning and Development Office and the Department of Interior and Local Government- Mountain Province.
According to OPABE Head Winston D. Beyden, the workshop aims to foster a collaborative approach to address the issues and concerns in the formulation of the FMRNP. He said that the specific objective is to synchronize the updating and enrollment of farm-to-market roads and maximize the opportunity to learn and share knowledge with other participants in the formulation of FMRNP.
In his message, Provincial Administrator John K. Likigan, representing Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., said that the success of every project relies on proper collaboration among the offices concerned and with the respective municipal chief executive. He said that proper collaboration will ensure that the required criteria will be met.
Meanwhile, Engr. Marites B. Puclo and Engr. Herzon S. Lunes from the Department of Agriculture-Mountain Province-Regional Agricultural Engineering Division were invited as resource persons during the workshop. By Hail, MP
