BONTOC, Mountain Province – The Provincial Government of Mountain Province awarded a plaque of recognition to the nine municipal awardees of the Philippine Association of Local Government Accountants Excellence Award.
Administrator John K. Likigan, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Provincial Government Assistant Department Head Andrew Magwilang, Provincial Accountant Theodore B. Marrero, and Provincial Human Resources and Management Officer Leonila Milagrose F. Malla-ao led the awarding of plaques to the municipal accountants of Barlig, Bauko, Besao, Bontoc, Sabangan, Sadanga Sagada, Paracelis, and Tadian and their staff.
Meanwhile, another plaque of recognition was awarded to the Provincial Accounting Office, which is also a recipient of the PhALGA Excellence Award.
“This recognition is due to the ‘Unmodified Opinion’ that our auditors have issued for our financial reports. Our financial reports as it is, are assumed by our Commission on Audit that all details reflected therein are the true and fair presentation of our financial affairs during the reporting year. So if you have any concerns on how the government money was used, you can always refer on those reports and the Commission on Audit assured that it is fairly presented. And that is because of the cooperation of everybody, from the lowest employee to the highest elective official. Again, thank you very much and thank you, our auditors,” Marrero said. By MP-PIO
