BONTOC, Mountain Province – The provincial government turned over 700,000-peso-worth of dental hygiene kits, which consist of toothbrush and toothpaste, to the Department of Education-Mountain Province (DepEd-MP) Schools Division Office on July 29, 2024.
Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., together with Vice Governor Francis O. Tauli turned over of the kits to DepEd-MP Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Benilda M. Daytaca and Supply Officer Lydia C. Padcayan while DepEd Tayo Mountain Province Medical Officer April Dalome D. Peckley oversaw the hauling of the kits by the DepEd vehicle.
The provision of the kits was made in compliance with Provincial Ordinance No. 279, authored by Vice Governor Tauli, titled, “An ordinance providing for measures to enhance dental health among children in Mountain Province,” and in compliance with the memorandum of agreement signed between Governor Lacwasan and SDS Daytaca.
The funding used to procure the kits was charged under the Barangay Muna Program of Governor Lacwasan. By Hail, MP
