BONTOC, Mountain Province – The Provincial Local Government Unit of Mountain Province together with the Philippine Army through its infantry battalion and 51st Engineering Brigade, and the municipalities of Barlig and Sadanga, signed the Memorandum of Partnership Agreement (MOPA) recently, at the Provincial Capitol Quadrangle.
Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., Sadanga Mayor Adolf F. Ganggangan, Barlig Mayor Clark C. Ngaya, the Brigade Commander of the Philippine Army’s 702 Infantry Battalion, the Acting Brigade Commander of the Philippine Army’s 51st Engineering Brigade, Colonel Jose Eduardo F. Libon and Brigadier General Krishnamurti A. Mortela signed the MOPA to formally start a partnership for the implementation of infrastructure projects in support of the developmental programs under EO No. 70 of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.
The partnership aims to win peace over the communist ideology and to support peace and stability in order to boost the socio-economic growth of the province.
