BAGUIO CITY – The Mountain Province Shotokan Karate Club (MPSKC) once again demonstrated their dominance in sports karatedo, securing the Overall Championship Award during the Baguio Day Karate Invitational Tournament held at Easter College Gymnasium on October 20, 2024.
This event brought together 34 clubs from various provinces and cities across Luzon, with an impressive total number of 1,110 participants competing for honors.
MPSKC’s outstanding performance showcased their superior skills and discipline, collecting a total of 79 medals: 26 golds, 12 silvers, and 41 bronze medals. This incredible medal haul is a testament to the team’s dedication, hard work during trainings, and passion for karate. The tournament was a true test of strength, technique and perseverance and the MPSKC team rose to the challenge. Their hard-earned victories reflect not only individual excellence but also the collective spirit of the entire team.
As the tournament concluded, the sense of pride and achievement was palpable, but the journey doesn’t end here. With their eyes set on future competitions, the MPSKC team is already preparing for their next challenge, determined to bring home even more medals and further solidify their reputation as one of the top karate teams in the region.
