BONTOC, Mountain Province – The Mountain Province Shotokan Karate Club (MPSKC) has once again achieved another milestone by securing the first runner-up title in the recently concluded Lingayen Open Karate Championship held at Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center, Lingayen Pangasinan on December 15, 2024.
Competing against over 800 players, the team’s 26-member-squad proved their mettle, earning an impressive 121 medals, consisting of 55 gold medals, 29 silver medals, and 37 bronze medals.
Denise Avery Paredes, a 9-year-old tournament circuit veteran campaigner, led the rampage with an incredible seven gold medals in seven events. Her teammates, inspired by her achievements, followed her footsteps, earning multiple gold medals in their respective events.
The results of the championship have ignited a greater drive of excellence to establish a winning tradition. With 2024 as a year of remarkable achievements, the team is gearing up to make 2025 even greater.
With this, the MPSKC once again expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all their supporters who tirelessly been helping the team reach greatness not just for themselves but also for Mountain Province, which they represent.
